Jasna ski resorts (29 km)
The biggest ski resort in Slovakia with the best conditions for all winter sports. Altitude is between 900-2024 m. The two ski resorts Chopok north and Chopok south are from 2007, again linked by lifts. At the moment we are talking about one center. JASNA LOW TATRAS is the largest ski resort in Slovakia with the best natural prerequisites for skiing and snowboarding. In addition to well-treated lines all the difficulty you will find the largest SNOWPARK Slovakia sesignes for both beginners and experienced riders and enthusiasts freestyle. There have also come to its of ski-climbing, freeride and cross-country skiing. The center offers a lot of fun through activities - SkiFOX, Snowscoot, Snowbike, kitewing, paragliding, rope park, paintball, night sleighing but also quality of complementary services - ski and snowboard school, kindergarten, rentals, service repositories, sports shops. The length of the winter season is around the beginning of December until the end of April.
Skipark Ružomberok (15 km)
Second of the most important ski-resort in Liptov region, with longest snow route in Slovakia – 3900m. Together there is more than 12km ski slopes. The town part of Hrabovo (just 1 km away from the town centre) is an entrance gate to the resort. A modern 8-seat cabin cableway, 1,770 m long, which transports 1,500 people per hour runs from Hrabovo to Malinô Brdo. Directly in the centre of the resort there is a 4-seat chair lift, 2 ski lifts and 4 ski lifts for beginners and children. Every weekend and during holidays there are interesting events and competitions held for visitors of the ski resort and whole family (snowtubing – riding on a special rubber tire, ice tower – something for those who want to try the basics of climbing, various ski competitions, snowpark for children, and the like). High transport capacities of transport facilities are the guarantee of minimal waiting periods and comfortable skiing even during the days with the highest visit rate.
Park Snow Donovaly (40 Km od)
There are more than 11 km of regularly adjusted ski runs and more than 7km of 17 downhill runs, artificially covered with snow. Certainly you will not skip the chance for an exciting night of skiing or the view of snowy hills from a bird's perspective while paragliding. If you love the adrenaline rush of snowboarding, you can find the temptation of excellent terrains for free-riding here, peppered with a lot of rails and obstacles, and jibbing on the U-ramp. Hiking
Hiking, cycling, trekking Liptov region offers a lots of possibilities for hiking. Visitors can choose from huge amount different hiking routes. Hiking routes are branting with deferent colour. Red colour is for most important routes, blue, green and yellow colour is for other routes. All these routes are started from villages or tourist resorts. Tourist maps you can buy in information centers or rent in our apartment house aria.
High mountain trekking
You can also do more difficult trekking in beautiful are of high Liptov mountains, but not so difficult as climbing. You can visit mountains in High or Low Tatras, Veľka and Mala Fatra. You will need touristic equipment, trekking shoes, reserved clothes, food and drinks for all day. One day or more days fishing licences you can buy directly in LM or in Ružomberok. All necessary information you can obtain in our apartment house .

Demänovská Ice Cave
The cave entrance is located in the cliff Bašta on the northern side of the Low Tatras Mts., only two kilometers northerly from the Demänovská Cave of Liberty. Ice fill has been formed in the cave for the last 500 years and in combination with calcite decoration the cave offers a very interesting tour. The Demänovská Ice Cave presents the northern part of world known Demänovské Caves. It stands out by occurrence of permanent ice fill, bizarre and mighty shapes of underground spaces, rare cave fauna as well as rich history. The show path is 650 m long with vertical span of 48 m. The entrance and exit are at the same elevation, only 40 m away one from the other. The stay in cave lasts about 45 min. The temperature during summer months fluctuates between +0,4°C and +3°C. The show path goes through mighty river passages interconnected by steep sections. The first part of the tour leads through cave spaces with flowstone decoration and the second part is in the iced spaces of the cave. The combination of flowstone and ice decoration offers a very interesting tour for visitors, where they can learn on forming cave spaces, cave decoration and conditions for glaciation and also on the influence of ice on original calcite fill. The cave spaces consist of oval, river modelled passages and domes reshaped by collapses and frost weathering.
Demänovská Cave of Liberty
Located on the northern side of the Low Tatras in the Demänovská Valley between Liptovský Mikuláš and known ski resort Jasná. The cave stands out by its unbelievable variety of colours and shapes of flowstone fills, unique calcite water lilies and other lacustrine forms of flowstone decoration. The national nature monument of the Demänovské Caves on the northern side of the Low Tatras Mts. is the longest cave system in Slovakia. The Demänovská Cave of Liberty belongs among its dominating caves. It has been captivating the visitors by its rich flowstone fill of various colours, magical flow of underground Demänovka as well as the charming pools for many years. It is the most visited show cave in Slovakia. Traditional tour is 1,150 m long with vertical span of 86 m. There are 913 steps on the path. Exclusive (long) tour is 2,150 m long and the same elevation span and 1,118 steps. The length of traditional tour is 60 min, and of the exclusive tour 100 min. Average cave temperature ranges between 6,1 and 7°C.
Vlkolínec (15 km)
Vlkolínec is Ružomberok district. At present there is 29 inhabitants in 18 houses out of the 55th In 1993 was registered in the list of UNESCO World Heritage List as a unique landscape-urban-architectural complex. Rare building - wooden bell tower from 1770, rumpálová wells in 1860, brick-classicistic baroque Church of Our Lady of the year 1875.
Havránok (8km)
Archaeological site. Housing estates of the period under iron (300-100 BC). Currently, reconstruction of Celt's oppidum of Kotins tribe with sacrificial place of 1 century BC. Building homes, sacrificial place, furnace and other items have been partially reconstructed and forms open air archeological museum in nature.
Obec Východná (30 km)
The first weekend in July each year takes place here known show folk ensembles and folk traditions. Speeches are organized in a natural amphitheater above the village. It is the largest Slovak folklore festival. There are also many historical monuments.
Liptovské museum (12 km)

Thermal Bešeňová (only 400 m)

Aquapark Tatralandia (17 km)
17 km from APP aria. the biggest Aquapark with 22 necessary equipment for your great experiences, funny pools, attraction for children, swimming pools, wellnes centre. Also open all year around.
Bath Lúčky (7 km)
Has long term tradition with gynecological problems of women, but also for other diagnosis. Of course also of bath guest can use bath procedures and pools.
Liptovský Ján (26 km)
Najstaršie kúpele na Liptove (liečivé pramene su využívané od 14 storočia). Pramene liečia poruchy látkovej výmeny, reumatické, žalúdočné, ženské a črevné ochorenia, alergie a stavy po nervových obrnách. Liečivá voda sa používa aj vnútorne – podporuje trávenie.The oldest bath in Liptov has tradition from 14. century. The water in Liptovský Ján is great for gastroenterological problems.
